Sikandar Day 8 Box Office: Salman Khan’s Film Surpasses ₹100 Crore Mark After Second Weekend

According to an article on trade website Sacnilk the film made an estimated 4.50 million (India net) in its eighth day in all languages, which indicates some slight improvement in the performances as it wrapped Sikandar second weekend. Sikandar which debuted on March 30, reopened well, earning a reported 26 crore in its first day. Its biggest single-day haul was during day one of the Eid holiday, with a peak of about 29 crore. But, after the celebrations the film saw the most drastic drop in daily income.

Sikandar ended it's first week in a amount of 90.25 crore. The second weekend was an improvement in the Sikandar underperformance, beginning with a modest amount of Rs 3.5 million on the Friday, and then the film's total of Rs 4 crore on Saturday. On Sunday the film added the sum of 4.5 millions to their totals, taking the second-weekend Sikandar box office collection to about 12 crore.

The total domestic net of the film currently stands at about 100.25 crore. 102.25 crore.

Before the release of the film, Salman Khan films predicted the box office performance. In his comments on the audience's acceptance and expectations, he stated during a press conference, "Festive, non-festive... it's the affection of people. Picture achhi ho ya bhi 100 million to few karva ho denge. No matter if the film is a success or a failure it will be watched by the people who make sure that it is at least Rs 100 crore."

When a producer pointed at the fact that Rs 100 crore mark was no longer the norm of his film, implying the new standard was 200 crores, Salman laughed and responded, "Haan, 200, 200. 100 bahot pehle ki baat hai (Yes, Rs 200 crore. 100 crore is now a thing of the distant past)."

While Sikandar earnings has crossed the mark of Rs 100 crore but it's reportedly not performing in the box office. It's also among Salman's worst-performing new films.
